(ZY Timber) Project Brief： The biggest highlight of the entire building of the UK Pavilion, its core part, the "Seed Hall", is a six-storey cube structure with about 60,000 transparent acrylic rods. These acrylic rods stretch outwards and sway gently with the wind, which is like a dandelion dancing in the wind, a candy box filled with "seeds", a perfect interpretation of environmental protection and nature. During the day, light illuminates the interior of the "Seed Hall" through transparent acrylic rods; at night, the light source inside them illuminates the entire building. The main structure of the "Seed Hall" adopts Lvl wood structure which is covered with double-layer wooden structure plywood inside and outside, and 60,000 acrylic rods are interspersed among them. ZY Timber as the professional provider of wood structure, is responsible for the implementation of the main structure of the British Pavilion. Despite the difficulties involved, ZY Timber made a difficult breakthrough with its excellent and profound wood structure professional skills, and finally completed this great building successfully. |
